What it costs.

Four bookings, four prices, and the time each one takes. The minutes are what we actually block out in the diary, not an estimate.

Haircut & blow dry

£22.5045 minutes

Hair and beard

£27.501 hour

Back and sides

£17.5030 minutes

Beard trim & shape

£17.5030 minutes

Back and sides is the half-hour tidy-up. The top is left where it is and the edges are brought back in. A haircut and blow dry is the full thing, top included, then dried and put where it should sit.

Not sure which one to book? Tick what you're after below and the time adds up, so you know how long to leave. Or ring and describe it — how long since the last cut, how short you want going, and whether the beard is coming off too.

Put this in the enquiry

Prices and times as published on our Booksy page. Hair and beard does both together in the hour — usually better value than booking the two apart.

Cancelling inside 24 hours may be charged in full — the chair sits empty otherwise.

The shop

Booked, not queued.

Seven barbers means there is usually something free the same week. An appointment means you sit down when you walk in, instead of waiting your turn on a bench.

It helps to say how the last cut grew out, and whether you are growing it or keeping it. A photo on your phone saves a lot of describing.

Grade numbers are the quickest shorthand. A one is close, a four is a fair bit of hair, and skin means the clipper comes off altogether. Say the number if you know it, and say so if you don't.

  • Appointments seven days a week.
  • Card and cash both fine.
  • Children welcome, and used to them.
  • Skin fades, scissor work, and everything either side.
  • Hot towel finish on beard work.

The work.

Cuts, beards and shaves — the three things a barber shop gets judged on.

Clippers do the fades and the tapers. Scissors do the weight and the length on top, and most heads want a bit of both. Where one stops and the other starts is the whole job.

Beard work runs on the same rules, only smaller. The line under the cheekbone and the line down the neck are what decide whether it reads as a beard or as a fortnight off. A hot towel first softens the hair, and the finish comes out cleaner for it.

Ring to check the day you want before setting off.

A short back and sides holds its shape for about three weeks and looks grown out by six. Longer on top buys you a bit more time. Ring for the next one before you need it and you stand a better chance of the hour you want.

Ask about a chair

Tell us roughly when suits and we'll come back with what's free. If you want an answer faster than that, ring the shop.
