Cars and bikes, same workshop.

Most garages will service your car and then send you somewhere else with the motorbike. We do both — cars, motorcycles and scooters, on the same ramps and the same bench.

Every kind of work we take is below. Filter it by what you drive, or type in what the thing is doing.

What we take

Twenty-five kinds of work. The answer to "will you look at mine?" depends less on the job than on the vehicle, so start with what you drive.

What do you drive?

Batteries

Fine right up until it isn't. Turning over slowly on a cold morning? Get it tested before it strands you.

Cars · Bikes · Scooters

Brakes and clutches

Both wear out by design, and both warn you first. A squeal, a long pedal, a bite point that has crept up the travel.

Cars · Bikes · Scooters

Brake repairs

Past pads and discs: a seized caliper, a corroded pipe, a handbrake that won't hold the car on a hill.

Cars · Bikes · Scooters

Car brakes

Pads, discs and fluid on a car. The routine job, and the one least worth putting off till next month.

Cars

Car diagnostics

Reading what the car has already recorded about itself, then working out what it actually means.

Cars · Diesel

Car electrics

Lights, starting, charging, and the intermittent fault that only ever happens when it's raining.

Cars

Car engines

From a rough idle to a rattle you can hear on the drive. We look first, then say what's involved.

Cars

Car repairs

The catch-all. If it's broken and it's a car, start here and you'll be told what it needs.

Cars · Diesel

Car servicing

Oil, filters, fluids — and a proper look round underneath while it's already up in the air.

Cars · Diesel

Car suspension adjustment

Knocks over speed bumps, one corner sitting low, or tyres wearing on an edge and not across the tread.

Cars

Diesel engines

A different animal — injectors, glow plugs, filters, and the short-journey problems that come with them.

Cars · Diesel

Engine diagnostics

A fault code is the start of the answer, not the answer. The work is finding which part is actually at fault.

Cars · Bikes · Diesel

Exhaust systems

Blowing, rattling, or hanging low. Usually a section and a couple of mounts rather than the whole system.

Cars · Bikes · Scooters · Diesel

Fuel injection

Hesitation, poor starting, heavy on fuel. Injectors, and the pump side of things sat behind them.

Cars · Bikes · Diesel

Gearboxes

The expensive noise. Worth having looked at before it gets worse, not after.

Cars · Bikes

General mechanics

Everything without a heading of its own. Ring, describe the noise, and you'll get a straight answer.

Cars · Bikes · Scooters · Diesel

Motorcycle repairs and services

Proper bench time, not a shrug. Servicing, repairs, and the jobs most garages send you away for.

Bikes

Oil changes

The cheapest thing you can do for an engine, and the one most often left far too long.

Cars · Bikes · Scooters · Diesel

Petrol engines

Starting, running, misfires, and the warning light nobody has been able to explain to you yet.

Cars · Bikes · Scooters

Scooter repairs

Belts, brakes, tyres and electrics. A scooter you commute on is not a small problem when it won't start.

Scooters

Steering adjustment

Pulling to one side, wandering at speed, or a wheel that isn't straight when you are.

Cars

Vehicle inspection

Before you buy it, after a hard winter, or because something doesn't feel right.

Cars · Bikes · Scooters · Diesel

Chain adjustments

Chains stretch. Too tight chews the bearings, too slack jumps the sprocket.

Bikes · Scooters

Parts fitting

Bought the part yourself? Bring it down with the vehicle and it will go on properly.

Cars · Bikes · Scooters

MOT repairs

Failed somewhere else? Bring the sheet down and the faults get put right. We don't test, so the retest stays with the test centre.

Nothing matches that wording

It doesn't mean we can't do it. Clear the search, or ring 07123 456789 and describe the vehicle and the symptom — that's quicker than any list.

On MOTs: we carry out MOT repairs. We are not a test centre, so book the test itself elsewhere and bring the failure sheet here.

On prices: what a job costs comes down to the vehicle, the parts and how long it sits on the ramp. Ring with the make, the model and what it's doing, and you'll get a figure before anything is booked in.

An industrial unit, not a showroom

Unit 22 sits on Mill House Lane at Triangle, on the road between Sowerby Bridge and Ripponden.

It is a working garage in a working unit: ramps, tools, and vehicles in various states of taken-apart. There is no waiting room and no coffee machine.

What a unit gives you over a forecourt is space. A car on the ramp and a bike on the bench at the same time is why we can genuinely take both.

Ring first if you're dropping something off. A call takes ten seconds and saves a wasted journey up the valley.

The quickest way to an answer about your car or your bike is the phone. The same number takes WhatsApp, and a photo of the part, the leak or the failure sheet beats a paragraph describing it.
