The DPD parcel point is inside the card shop.
Parcels go out with DPD over the shop counter. Deliveries left here wait behind it until you come for them. Both run through ordinary opening hours.
Collecting one normally wants the notification and something with your name on it. Bring both and you are back out in a minute.
Plenty of people find the shop this way, holding a returns parcel. Five minutes later they are at the till with a birthday card as well.
What's in
A card shop is judged on one thing. Whether the right card is there on the morning you need it, and not the week after.
-
Cards for every occasion
Birthdays and anniversaries, new baby, sympathy, thank you, good luck. The awkward ones as well as the easy ones.
-
Gifts
For when a card on its own will not do it. Say who it is for and ask across the counter.
-
Balloons
A birthday, a new arrival, or one of the round-number ones nobody is allowed to forget.
-
Party essentials and partyware
Everything that turns a kitchen table into a party. One stop instead of three.
-
Stationery
Pens, paper and the everyday things. Half of these get bought on the way to the card rack.
-
Parcels, over the same counter
DPD drop-off and pick-up, Tuesday to Saturday. The fourth thing the shop does, and the one that brings new faces in.
What it comes to. A card and a boxed gift are a long way apart, so the price follows what you choose. Ring with the occasion and a rough idea and you will get a figure back.
Easier still, call in. Most people decide by picking things up, which no list will ever do for you.
Cards, and what goes with them.
The card on its own. The card with a bag to carry the present in. The card with the present already wrapped.

Closed Mondays. Open the rest of the week.
Every other day the door opens at nine, and Saturday finishes half an hour earlier than the rest of the week. The DPD counter runs through those same hours.
Watch the Monday. The shop is normally shut, so ring on 07123 456789 before making a special trip.
Where it stands on Google.
That is the rating as it stands, across nineteen reviews on its Google listing. A small shop on a main road keeps that by having the right card in on the day somebody needs it.
